L’Occitane Petit Spa, Subiaco

You know a facial is good when you start dreaming

You’ve probably heard of the French beauty giant L’Occitane before, but did you know that tucked away in a handful of their stores, are ‘Petit Spas’?
I had no idea until I was invited to review the new Petit Spa in Subiaco (Perth), which is the first L’Occitane spa in Australia, and I was pretty damn excited.
When I arrived at the store I was greeted by Afnan, who manages the boutique and would soon be melting my troubles away.
We walked upstairs to the spa where I was shown to the beautiful treatment room. I filled out a consultation form and was handed a thick, fluffy dressing gown to slip into.
Delicate posies of peony, lavender and immortelle were placed all over, as they’re the hero ingredients in various ranges.

After Afnan had gently washed my feet, it was time for my skin examination. Purely by looking, she noticed areas of sensitivity and said my skin was dehydrated, which didn’t surprise me as I’d had wine the night before and my morning began with a workout.

Based on this, she recommended the Immortelle Secret of Youth facial, which stimulates cell renewal and collagen synthesis.

For the next hour, my skin was cleansed, rehydrated, and nourished with luxurious products from the Immortelle Divine range.

My neck and shoulders didn’t miss out either, as they got a massage that made me melt into the bed. It was pure bliss.

I was so relaxed my body was whispering sleep but my mind was saying don’t you dare; so I entered that weird dream-awake stage and at one point I thought my dog was in the room.
I have no doubt the spa will do well. This was just one of the eight facials they have to offer, along with a range of body treatments including massages, wraps and scrubs.
A gift voucher is firmly on my Christmas list; and I’d recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone who wants to escape the CBD hustle and completely spoil their skin.
