Celebrating 20 years of WA talent
On Tuesday 22nd March, the State Theatre in Perth’s CBD was packed with designers, dresses and decadence for the 20th anniversary of the WA Fashion Awards.
The event is bookmarked on the social calendars of fashion fanatics all over Perth, and this year I was lucky enough to receive an invite from DGPR, who work with Fashion Council WA to organise the night.
And what an awesome job they did! Before we sat down for the ceremony we were treated to canapés and flowing champagne, while we mingled and networked with other guests.
I met up with a few fellow bloggers including Anoushka Marie and Val; and Perth designers Natalie from sports luxe label Acron Threads, and Natalie from the glamorous evening wear label Natalie Rolt.

Natalie Rolt was nominated for the AMP Capital Emerging Designer of the Year award, and being one of my favourite WA designers, hiring one of her creations for the night was a no-brainer.
I got my hands one of her gorgeous gowns thanks to the Perth dress hire business, Higher Fashion, who stock a range of dresses to hire out from just $70 (the dress I’m wearing can be hired for $80).

When the ceremony began we were sat in the Heath Ledger Theatre. Before the winners were announced, the talent from the designers models, stylists and retailers were displayed on stage …
