REVIEW: Matrix Biolage Fiberstrong Fortifying Cream

Make your hair satin soft

I don’t mean to blow my own trumpet, but I’m bloody brilliant at sniffing out a bargain. Seriously, my boyfriend and I used to play ‘Guess how much this was?’, but we stopped because he just started guessing $1 for everything and that took the fun out of it.

One of my best bargains to date was about two months ago, when I plucked the Matrix Biolage Fiberstrong Fortifying Cream out of one of those bargain bins in the hairdressers. Brand new this hair product would have cost me $20-25. I got it for $5!

Matrix Biolage Fiberstrong Fortifying Cream

Matrix Biolage Fiberstrong Fortifying Cream is a leave-in treatment you apply to wet hair before styling. It contains bamboo to reinforce and strengthen the hair, and Intra-Cylane™ to fill in the gaps in the hair cuticle.

After I’d washed and towel dried my hair, I applied one pump of the thick cream to the middle and tips of my hair, then used my trusty Nak Repl.ends for heat protection.

Once I’d blow dried and straightened my hair, I ran my fingers through it and it felt like liquid silk! I was so shocked that I felt results after just one use, as I expected to wait 2-3 weeks to notice any improvements.

Matrix’s Fiberstrong Fortifying Cream immediately made my hair feel noticeably softer than any other moisturising/softening/smoothing hair product I’ve used before – and I’ve used a lot! I’m pretty sure it breaks less too when I brush it, so it’s definitely doing what it says on the tin.

I may have got this for a cool $5, but after what this has done for my hair I wouldn’t hesitate to pay full whack for it.
