antipodes saviour skin balm review

Antipodes Saviour Skin Balm

This baby is basically a dermatologist/first aid kit in a pot. Anything your skin needs, Antipodes Saviour Skin Balm has you covered. The solid golden balm is antibacterial, antifungal and antimicrobial (that’s something that kills microorganisms). It’s also incredibly rich in oils and vitamins, and melts into your skin to help:

  • relieve effects of sore muscles
  • rescue cracked skin
  • hydrate skin in-flight
  • soothe chapped lips
  • shape eyebrows
  • ease after-effect of sun
  • alleviate parched skin
  • tend to minor grazes and bruises
  • treat damaged feet
  • protect post shaving

Impressive, right?

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

If you haven’t already tried Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing Water, you need to get your hands on a bottle! The gentle water removes make-up from your face, eyes and lips while cleansing and soothing.

I use Micellar Water to swipe off my eye make-up every night and to remove dark lipstick. Sometimes I use it to take off my face make-up when I’m being lazy (read: drunk), and can’t be bothered lathering up creams and getting my face wet.

I also hate getting my face wet as it goes all red and curls the hairs on my hair line, so I love that you don’t need any water, just a dash on a cotton pad and you’re done in 30 seconds.

My skin gets dehydrated quite quickly after cleansing, so I was really surprised when my skin felt comfortable and nourished, and not dry at all.

It also comes in a mini size, which is ideal for short breaks.

percy and reed wonder balm review

Percy & Reed Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Balm

This lightweight hair cream is one of Percy & Reed’s bestsellers. It’s a leave-in treatment that gives you:

  • moisture
  • shine
  • smoothness
  • definition
  • softness
  • light hold
  • humidity protection

Percy & Reed’s Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Balm can be applied from the roots to tips without weighing the hair down, even for those with fine hair like mine.

The packaging has changed since I bought mine, and now has a handy pump dispenser.

Liz Earle Superbalm

Liz Earle’s little pocket rocket is perfect for popping in your handbag, so you’ll be ready to soothe your:

  • lips
  • nails
  • cuticles
  • heels
  • elbows
  • any areas that need a little moisture injection

It’s a solid balm made from pure plant oils, natural waxes and Shea butter and smells of lavender. I bought the little 5g pot to keep in my handbag, but it comes in a 30g jar too. I must admit I’m not a fan of it on my lips because of the lavender scent, but I love it on my cuticles.

Ok I know the title states 4 but I threw in my Compact Tangle Teezer at the last minute, not as a multitasker, but as a great addition to your weekend bag.

The flexible teeth Tangle Teezers are renowned for are perfect for gently combing through wet and dry hair, and they feel amazing on your scalp – which you must brush every day! So no need to pack both a wide-toothed comb and a hair brush.

The Compact Tangle Teezer has a cover you clip on to protect the teeth from dust, dirt and fluff, making it perfect for throwing in your handbag. I always make sure I take it to the beach too, because my hair likes to go all scarecrow on my ass if it’s left to its own devices.

What are your favourite multitasking products? Is there a beauty essential you couldn’t be without while on holiday?
