REVIEW: MooGoo MSM Cream

Kicking eczema to the kerb

Does your chin like the sun? Mine doesn’t.

A couple of years before I moved to Perth, I was sunbathing in my garden in England (yes, British people can do that 2 or 3 times a year).

The next day the skin on my chin and neck started to feel tight, so I gave it some extra moisturising love, but the next day it felt worse and started to look dry.

After a couple more days it went back to normal. I knew it was just my eczema throwing a tantrum, however the following summer the same thing happened again, but with a bit more bite and spread further down my neck.

Ignoring my skin’s ‘I can’t cope with the sun” cry, I moved to Perth 6 months later and my skin lost its shit.

The dryness started on my chin, spread down my neck then crept up my left cheek. Day 4 in my new home was spent gently exfoliating my peeling face, smoothing on my favourite moisturiser over my inflamed, stinging skin and convincing my new boyfriend I don’t normally look like I’ve nuzzled sandpaper.

This year I decided to hunt for something new to try and had heard good things about MooGoo from friends.

When I emailed their team and told them my problem, they replied assuring me it was quite common behaviour for eczema to react to the heat this way, then kindly sent me a couple of samples to try.

So I set out to put MooGoo to the test by hitting the sun bed and soaking up some UV rays (suncream on of course!).

Sure enough, the next day my eczema started to creep back, tightening its grip on my chin and neck. A couple of days later the dryness appeared, and at this point I usually up my dose of moisturiser and pray for a few days that it will calm back down.

This time I reached for MooGoo’s MSM Soothing Cream, a formula made up of their Full Cream and the maximum amount of MSM (Organic Sulfur) they could put in, which is mega calming stuff for your skin.

This cream stopped my eczema dead in its tracks! And when you look at what’s in it, you won’t be surprised.

MooGoo’s MSM Soothing Cream is packed with natural oils including honey, Vitamin E, Aloe Vera and sweet almond oil, which is one of the best oils for irritated skin due to its essential fatty acid profile.

Despite the oily ingredients, the sweet smelling cream is non-greasy, lightweight and quickly absorbs into the skin.

Normally I would be battling with sore, flaky skin for a couple of days, but it didn’t even let my skin get to that stage.

I love that MooGoo champion natural products and they have a variety of products to battle skin problems found in both adults and babies, such as acne, rosacea and psoriasis.

My friend and fellow blogger Emma from Relatable Miss Renton has just got some awesome results with MooGoo’s Acne Cleansing Cream.

Perth, my face is ready for you!
