REVIEW: Benefit The POREfessional Agent Zero Shine

Don’t sweat about a shiny face this summer, Agent Zero Shine is here to help

Ok girls, things are about to get sweaty around here.

The summer heat – particularly in Perth – is once again going to cause make-up meltdowns and leave skin with an oily sheen. Noice.

Luckily Benefit have sent in Agent Zero Shine ($44) to help us out [cue James Bond 007 music].

porefessional agent zero shine

New this year and sister to their awesome primer the POREfessional, Agent Zero Shine instantly minimizes shine and helps smooth the look of pores.

The lightweight translucent formula is great for day coverage, suits all skin tones, and works well over BB creams or tinted moisturisers.

She also arrives with a compact brush in tow, so you can pop her in your handbag and she’ll be at your beck and call if you need a top up.

Simply pull the brush out from the base, then twist the top and tap the powder into the lid and you’re ready to buff.

It takes a while to sprinkle enough powder out into the lid. However, if you’ve ever wasted precious product through a hasty pour or knocked a pot of powder over (I swear that happens in slow motion), you’ll understand why Benefit have done this.

It’s especially great for me as I have an oily T zone, and don’t want to always wear a full face of powder when my cheeks are dry.

Below are the before and after shots using the product; the one on the left is me without any products or cosmetics, the one on the right is me wearing just Agent Zero Shine.

As you can see, the shine from my forehead and cheeks has gone, and has reduced from my nose.

This lasted a couple of hours before I needed another sweep, which wasn’t as long as I’d hoped, but overall it’s a good product and a handy addition to the POREfessional family.

Let’s hope there’s another sibling on the way!
